However, students may also join at other times during the year, subject to the availability of places within the relevant year group.
Open Events
We hold Open Events throughout the year during our Autumn, Spring and Summer Terms, and warmly encourage families to visit Howell’s to experience our community first-hand. Please see our Open Day page for more information and to book your visit.
Joining Our Nursery
Your daughter’s journey at Howell’s begins on her third birthday, when she is warmly welcomed into our Nursery, the first step in a nurturing and inspiring educational experience.
Joining Our Prep School
The main entry point to our Prep School is Reception at age 4, but we also welcome applications for other year groups, subject to availability. Every new student receives support to settle in and flourish within our close-knit, nurturing community.
Joining Our Senior School
There are two main entry points to the Senior School: Year 7, where applicants sit the Entrance Examination in January to be considered for scholarships and bursaries, and Year 10, for entry ahead of GCSE studies.
Joining Howell's College
The main entry point to Howell’s College is Year 12. At this stage, we welcome both girls and boys, providing a supportive environment as students continue their education. Applications are considered based on academic records, references, and interviews, with guidance offered throughout the admissions process.
