Howell’s Book Week ended with a spectacular Prep School Catwalk Parade, as students took to the stage in a dazzling display of imagination, style and confidence.
From much-loved book characters to famous film icons, the girls impressed with their stunning outfits and joyful, confident struts down the runway. The catwalk was bursting with colour, laughter and creativity.
Across the Senior School and College, students and staff enjoyed a wonderful programme of activities, including creative competitions, a spelling bee, a House quiz, author visits, a pop-up bookshop and our Book Week Film Festival featuring favourites such as The Wild Robot, Matilda: The Musical and Jurassic Park. A key highlight of the week was Year 6 and 7’s inspiring author visit and book signing with Onjali Q. Raúf, whose stories and insights sparked excitement, curiosity and creativity.
In the Prep School, the Book Fair, held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, was a tremendous success, with students eagerly discovering new titles, sharing recommendations and adding to their personal collections.
Thank you to Mrs Wilks, Mrs Norman, Mrs Pugh, Mrs Kenyon Morris and everyone involved in curating such a fabulous week that truly celebrated the magic of books and the joy of reading.
