The College at Howell’s School, Llandaff GDST is delighted to announce another year of exceptional A level results, with more than 50 per cent of results at A*-A; a testament to the dedication, determination, and resilience of our students.
From the academic rigour of Further Mathematics and the analytical skills of Geography to the critical thinking of English Literature and the physical dedication shown in PE, students have achieved remarkable grades, opening doors to a wide range of exciting university courses, apprenticeships, and career opportunities.
Students have secured university places to study History of Art and Modern Foreign Languages at Oxford, alongside cutting-edge courses such as Motorsport Engineering, Sport Media, Communications at UCL and Illustration at UCA. Traditional pathways such as Medicine and Dentistry remain popular choices for our high-achieving Year 13 leavers, with 100% of applicants for these courses being successful.
This year’s celebrations are particularly special, as they mark the final set of A Level results under the leadership of Principal Sally Davis, who will be leaving Howell’s at the end of the academic year. This morning, she said:
“We are incredibly proud of every single student. Their achievements are the result of years of hard work, perseverance, and the support of our dedicated teaching staff and families. These results are a celebration of their talent and character, and we wish them every success as they take the next steps in their journeys. It has been an honour and a privilege to lead Howell’s School, and to see our students flourish year after year has been one of the greatest joys of my career.”
This year’s results reflect not only academic excellence but also the creativity, leadership, and commitment to community that our students have demonstrated throughout their time at Howell’s. The entire Howell’s community congratulates our students on their success and thanks parents, staff, and governors for their unwavering support.
