We understand that choosing the right school is an important decision for both students and their parents. Students may enter at any point between Years 7 and 10; however, bursary and scholarship funding is allocated based on entry at Year 7.

Key Dates for Entry into Year 7
Please take note of our key admissions dates. Please make sure your daughter is registered for these events.
- Be Year 7 for a Day: Wednesday, 12 November 2025 (9.15am to 2.45pm)
- Music Scholarship Auditions: Wednesday 14th January
- Entrance Examination: Friday, 30 January 2025
Key Dates for Entry into Year 7
The Entrance Examination
Mathematics
The mathematics assessment is an online examination, and your daughter is expected to know the four operations (with times tables essential), basic percentages, sequences, fractions, money, and time, as well as area and perimeter of rectangles and metric units.
Problem-Solving English
The English examination consists of two parts. The comprehension section will be conducted as an online assessment. Additionally, your daughter will have the opportunity to showcase her vocabulary and writing skills through an extended piece of writing.
Additional Learning Needs: 25% extra time is usually given if supported by documentation. Candidates should bring a bottle of water and a pen and pencil. Wearing school uniform is not required.
The Entrance Examination
Scholarships & Bursaries
- Academic Scholarships: Usually 5% of tuition fees, awarded to students who excel in the examinations.
- Music Scholarships: Typically 5% of fees. Applicants must have passed Grade 5 in their first study instrument/voice; a second instrument/voice is highly desirable. Audition includes performance, scales/arpeggios, sight reading, aural tests, and an interview. The on-line application can be found here.
- GDST Bursaries: Means-tested financial assistance based on need, with academic merit also considered.
